Notes – Week 10
Due to my extreme eastern venue and the fact that it's
within two weeks of midsummer, I am quite happy to have start times as late=
as 7pm
for my event on Dec 9.
Parking - anywhere along Kenneth
Rd (mainly southern side, as northern side
will be taken by hundreds of trailers) is fine, as is anywhere on Balgowlah Rd.
There are limited spots in the swimming centre car park (very popular after
school) between those two roads and in the small parking bay (Odawara Cl - this is the =
best one
for early-arriving Garingal helpers) off Balgowlah Rd near
the tennis courts.
But be warned the pool shuts at 7pm - early runners can have a dip, la=
te
ponies will need to hit the beach and collect #27 for me perhaps!
Anyone coming from Falcon
St / city should go through the big lights
intersection at Seaforth (don't turn right into Sydney Rd), then go right at the se=
cond
lights into Kenneth R=
d
(KFC will be in the NW corner of that intersection).
Anyone coming from Chatswood / Ryde should turn right off Warringah Rd at the lights into Allambie Rd. You
can then (i) turn right at the bottom of the hi=
ll
into Condamine St, and L into Kenneth or (ii) turn right one set of lights
later into Pittwater Rd
and follow through roundabout before turning right into Kenneth at the pool
corner. This will prob be the better option for
parking ease as you'll be on the side of Kenneth with the most availab=
le
parking spots.
